Video: Active-Pneumatic Seat Comfort Suspension Seat
Physical and mental demands are constantly placed on truck drivers and construction equipment operators – the seat is their work place. This is why ISRINGHAUSEN maintains a close relationship with professional associations, and national and international bodies, which are active in the areas of standards and research specific to the driver’s workplace. Predevelopment at ISRINGHAUSEN is involved with a multitude of projects addressing all aspects of the seat and sitting, ensuring that we continue to excite our customers in the future.
Two examples of our activities in the man-machine-environment are:
Active Suspension Seats: For tough job environments, ISRINGHAUSEN has developed an active pneumatic system (APS), which drastically reduces the vibration level drivers are subjected to. Sensors electronically record the position and speed of the suspended seating surface and control the pneumatic suspension system several times a second.
Climate Characteristics: It is common knowledge that seat coverings at the same temperature, made of different materials, feel different. Human beings do not feel the temperature; rather they only feel warmth that is transferred through the skin. ISRINGHAUSEN developed an in-house testing procedure to objectively test and measure this effect on human senses. This enables ISRINGHAUSEN to add the material selection of the cushioning and seat covering materials to their list of criteria; in addition to wear resistance, moisture absorption and transportation, stretching and others. |
