Founding of the company in Bielefeld. Production of bicycle saddles and technical springs.

1957

Relocation of the company headquarters to Lemgo. Production of seats for construction machinery.

1970

Start of ISRI seat development – modular principle in seat technology.

1979

Start of series production of fully-automatic, airspring seats for commercial vehicles.

1987

ISRI supplies the world´s first commercial vehicle seat with an integrated 3-point safety belt.

1993

ISRI supplies the world´s first electrically-adjustable commercial vehicle seat.

1994

Start of the development and production of seats for vans and light commercial vehicles (LCV).

2001

Start of series production of the new generation ISRI seats – NTS (New Truck Seat).

2005

ISRI supplies the world´s first seat which has an integrated, height-adjustable 3-point safety belt.

2009

• Presence in 18 countries with 38 plants
• Production of the four-millionth NTS-seat
